Okay, it's time to get started so, I hope he's not late again.
Buddy Duquesne 0:16
I'm here I'm here. I'm here. I'm here. Hi, it's me. Buddy Duquesne of house Duquesne. And I wow Ha. Made it right just in time. We were not on the air yet.
Alice White 0:26
Nope. Well, we just started we just started broadcasting. Well, we're ready to go you're right on time.
Buddy Duquesne 0:32
Well what Alice I am so excited to start and even though my heart is beating and my breath is heavy, I... I can do it. I Oh, let's let's talk about last night's match because oh my gosh, what a start to the joust. I, Wow.
Alice White 0:47
Yes. What a start. What an amazing matchup. Sir Ignatius the knight of wands faced off against Sir Vai the knight of cups in a thrilling match. They went four bouts and at the end of those four bouts sir Ignatius was deemed the winner.
Buddy Duquesne 1:05
That's true. But Alice, I would like to say on behalf of Sir Vai and as the leading fan of Sir Vai here on this broadcast, that, you know, she was at a marked disadvantage for the entirety of the match and put up a valiant fight, especially at the end.
Alice White 1:25
Absolutely. Starting off the fight arriving into the arena alone without a Squire and without a retinue of assistants, Sir Vai had to strap her own armor on and get started all on her own and it was absolutely a disadvantage but you know, she showed a lot of courage and a lot of strength.
Buddy Duquesne 1:46
Yeah, I mean, that's that Sir Vai's entire philosophy is being able to roll with the punches and improvise on the spot. And she showed that yesterday to a tee. Of course, Sir Ignatius. showed up ready for battle.
Alice White 2:02
Yes, at the opening feast the night before Sir Ignatius was seen bowing out early, which is quite unlike him.
Buddy Duquesne 2:10
Yeah, usually a party animal I think is the term. Sir Ignatius was to bed early and seemingly absolutely calm and collected before today's tilt and it showed right off the bat. Just absolute perfection in every single category.
Alice White 2:31
Yes. So for the first two bouts that they went, Sir Ignatius handily taking the points breaking one lance each round was a very good show and suddenly right before the third bout, Sir Vai's Squire arrived huffing and puffing apparently they were waylaid on the road. But with a little more assistance and some support from her team Sir Vai was able to come back and score several points in bouts three and four,
Buddy Duquesne 3:03
nearly tying the match Alice, in fact, such such a recovery so as to say Sir Vai is not to be discounted.
Alice White 3:13
Absolutely, despite this defeat early on in the tournament Sir Vai has shown great fortitude in the face of adversity, and will certainly be one to watch over the course of the month.
Buddy Duquesne 3:25
Yes, Alice, you know, as somebody from Montebisbo as you know, huge fan. This is not our best day, but I think it does show that we're going to be absolutely the toughest competitors out there. Win or lose every time with Sir Vai as our leader. Leader? Representative.
Alice White 3:51
Well as you know, we do have the four greatest knights in the land and they will all be doing their best over the course of this month to show us what they have. So I am I'm excited for more, personally.
Buddy Duquesne 4:02
Yeah. And you know as we look forward to tonight's bout the the match of this evening you know, what, what are we going to be seeing?
Alice White 4:13
Well we are going to be seeing the Knight of Swords and the Knight of Pentacles facing off in their first matchup of the month. These two are both incredible fighters and very strong and show a great technical skill in the joust.
Buddy Duquesne 4:32
I'm really looking forward to seeing the kind of steady hand of Sir Sayif that so many fighters don't have this this very practiced honorable sort of chivalrous take on the fight, kind of going up against Sir Dunia of Bolchino, who once in a while can be moved to avarice or even to a sort of underhanded victory.
Alice White 5:00
Absolutely that's a great read of the of the match, Buddy and that's a very, very interesting point to make. I personally am excited to see my hometown night Sir Sayif, hopefully riding to victory but of course we will be reporting impartially as it were. Tomorrow you will, you will hear more from us.
Buddy Duquesne 5:23
Right and hopefully I can secure lodging before the end of the week, it is getting difficult out there for me. So if anybody out there any of you joust-heads know of a place in town here in Sacrament Valley where I can stay, please do not hesitate to send a messenger condor to the studio. I will be here until the match and then I'll check after the match too. I'm kind of getting desperate.
Alice White 5:55
Well, best of luck to you, Buddy. And good luck to the fighters and until tomorrow May all your Lances strike true.
