Buddy Duquesne 0:14

So then I said to the innkeeper, I said, you know, "you gotta give me this room" and you know what he said to me?

Alice White 0:21

What did he say?

Buddy Duquesne 0:22

He said, "I don't have to do anything. You're not the boss of me." which nobody has ever said to me before

Alice White 0:31

and how did that make you feel?

Buddy Duquesne 0:33

well i mean i- i- i don't know. It's it's all completely new I-.

Bad.

Bad I guess. bad.

Alice White 0:47

Oh my goodness. It's time to start. Look, we're already on air.

Buddy Duquesne 0:49

Oh my gosh, the light is on and welcome back joust-heads. Are we going with that?

Alice White 0:58

I would like to not Residents of Caliano Welcome back to The Joust

Buddy Duquesne 1:05

yeah the the daily recap of the joust broadcasting live from Sacrament Valley. I'm Buddy of house Duquesne and you are lady Alice of house White.

Alice White 1:16

That's true. I am and we are back with another recap of last night's- last night's bout.

Buddy Duquesne 1:23

Yeah, it was it was an incredible bout between Sir Dunia of pentacles and Sir Sayif of swords. Both, you know, brought a lot of passion into this fight.

Alice White 1:37

Yes, passion. Indeed. The word on the street is that last night during one of the many celebrations of the opening of the tournament Sir Sayif has fallen in love with the betrothed of Sir Dunia

Buddy Duquesne 1:53

not the most honorable thing Sir Sayif has ever done.

Alice White 1:59

No, but understandable, in that love has its own kind of nobility,

Buddy Duquesne 2:03

I suppose. But you could see where Sir Dunia would be upset.

Alice White 2:09

Absolutely, Sir Dunia has vowed eternal revenge on Sir Sayif. And you can see in the matchup he brought that anger and that passion to the field which while, that anger and passion might be useful on someone like Sir Ignatius, who is a more experienced fighter who has learned to channel all of his feelings into his work, Sir Dunia, on the other hand, was distracted and, and broke several rules.

Buddy Duquesne 2:42

Yeah, and and this is exactly what we were talking about when we introduced him. He's a younger fighter new to the tournament. He's going to make these mistakes. I don't think revenge suits Sir Dunia.

Alice White 2:55

No, not at all.

Buddy Duquesne 2:56

Now Now, a perhaps more balanced approach next time could yield results but this feud, which already at the beginning of the tournament Alice is, is sparking is only going to make things worse if Sir Dunia continues down this path.

Alice White 3:16

Absolutely. So the victory goes to Sir Sayif who unhorsed Sir Dunia in the fourth bout, it was rather embarrassing

Buddy Duquesne 3:26

Yeah truly, just you know there lying on the ground I saw Sir Dunia practically kicking in rage and and it really did make a shameful display of this opening bout for this knight. Just truly not looking good for Pentacles today.

Alice White 3:46

No, Bolcino, we need you to turn up your support of your knight and hopefully get him back on his feet. We would like to see more out of him but of course I as a longtime resident of Longheim, am very pleased That's Sir Sayif has clinched the victory today.

Buddy Duquesne 4:03

You know, Alice, I don't disagree with you. I think that Sir Sayif put out a better fight. But I do think that the more people get on Sir Dunia's side, maybe now seeing him as a bit of an underdog, a Cinderella story, if you will, maybe that can help him pick himself up and get him back on the field and fighting fit. So we'll see.

Alice White 4:25

I agree. Thank you for tuning in everyone. Tomorrow with.. there will not be any jousting as the fighters are all going to take two days to rest, but instead, we will be reading mail from our listeners with predictions and gossip about this tournament and what to expect in the future.
