Hello residents of Caliano!
Alice White 0:13
mmm...That's my line I'm suppose to start
Buddy Duquesne 0:14
All my joustheads out there I guess you guys are ready for some good joust recap news, right?
Alice White 0:20
mmm... Yeah, I'm sure they're just so ready.
Buddy Duquesne 0:24
You know, Alice I was really worried about about the match last night. You know at first I was afraid
Alice White 0:32
Were you?
Buddy Duquesne 0:32
You could say that I was petrified.
Alice White 0:34
Oh, were you?
Buddy Duquesne 0:37
I kept thinking how I could never live if Sir Vai died.
Alice White 0:43
Which is always a risk in a tournament as dangerous as this
Buddy Duquesne 0:46
I spent so many bouts thinking how things had gone wrong, but then Vai got strong. And she learned how to get along. Oh, now I- I am Sir Vai. Well, I'm not but For Sir Vai and Sir Vai won. Yes, ha, go Montebisbo and yeah, we're the best and Sir Vai's the best and yes yes yes yes yes and
Alice White 1:09
You know that we're supposed to be impartial right?
Buddy Duquesne 1:10
Sir Sayif fell like a house of so many cards,
Alice White 1:16
You know that... you know that we're supposed to be impartial, right?
Buddy Duquesne 1:20
Alice, Lady Alice of House White. How can we not be swept up in the drama? The majesty of this tournament? You know, I, when I first came here I was but a humble Bard, of no real station, except for my, you know, connection to to my uncle the Emperor, but you know, I now I see that I am a part of something greater. And it's this joust and and Sir Vai has, has shown me the way and finally we have a victory and I have something to lord over you.
Alice White 2:02
Alright that's enough let's go to the recap
Buddy Duquesne 2:05
I don't know if it's enough though-
Alice White 2:07
No I think it's enough. I think we should just talk about what happened and move on because there's going to be other jousts and you and and and Sir Sayif isn't done yet! He's not- he's not, it's not done yet
Buddy Duquesne 2:20
You know maybe, sorry, maybe- maybe I pushed, maybe I pushed too hard I was really excited I didn't mean to make you snap
Alice White 2:28
I'm sorry for snapping that was very unprofessional of me. Let's move to the recap of the- of the match.
Buddy Duquesne 2:34
Right It was- it was kind of a great one, though. I mean, you got to admit Alice, even though your Sir Sayif did not claim the victory. It was really a legendary match almost.
Alice White 2:46
It really was. It was one for the books absolutely Sir Vai and Sir Sayif were supposed to meet in only four bouts, but there was a bit of a disturbance early on in the match.
Buddy Duquesne 3:00
Yeah, somebody got onto the field. They were shouting something I couldn't hear it Alice. And honestly, I was just glad when the guards finally dragged them away, I, I just wanted to get back to the joust but it did disturb the entire thing and it riled the crowd up too which was surprising.
Alice White 3:22
True, it- later reports came out that the person who stormed the field to cause such a ruckus was a protester, against, uh, against your uncle, the Emperor.
Buddy Duquesne 3:35
What? Why would anybody want to protest against my uncle, the Emperor, the single greatest living human person, maybe even greater than human person on the face of this planet or any other you know?
Alice White 3:49
of course, the Emperor is benevolent and generous and a very, very kind ruler. But I think that there are some people who feel that they have been disenfranchised by the- by the Empire what
Buddy Duquesne 4:01
What is? what does that mean? What does disenfranchised mean? what is that what are you saying?
Alice White 4:05
Oh no, we don't- We absolutely do not have time to get into this, I'll explain later. The point is after they ran one bout they had to start over from the beginning so
Buddy Duquesne 4:18
Sir Vai did look to be losing in that first bout.
Alice White 4:21
That's true and you know who knows without this interruption, things might have gone very different. But unfortunately as they began their, uh, their retry at the at the match Sir Sayif's horse threw a shoe and it was devastating,
Buddy Duquesne 4:39
An entire shoe just right off.
Alice White 4:41
So when sir Sayif's horse threw that shoe, he unfortunately had to use a different horse. He grabbed the horse of his squire and, and hopped on and I have to admit that Sir Vai showed some wonderful creativity and intuition here. She noticed-
Buddy Duquesne 4:59
See the thing about Sir Vai is that is that she is an intuitive fighter, that when something changes, she is able to sense it. It is almost supernatural Alice, and that's what happened here
Alice White 5:12
Sir Vai noticed that the horse that Sir Sayif was riding had a tendency to flinch when being charged at, she took advantage of that flinching and charged as fast as possible, faster than she normally would for a normal bout, which scared the horse that sir Sayif was riding and he was thrown to the ground, which, which one the match for Sir Vai
Buddy Duquesne 5:38
I couldn't be happier. I'm over the moon. I know it's only one victory Alice, but this feels like one step closer to bringing glory back to my homeland. So I'm all about it.
Alice White 5:50
Absolutely. Good for you. Congratulations Of course to Sir and Sir Sayif, I am still rooting for you and we will see more in the in the coming days. The matchup tonight between sir Ignatius and Sir Dunia should be a very interesting one. And we will be recapping that for you first thing in the morning and until then May all your lances strike true.
